3 Month Contract:
Essential Function:
The candidate will be involved in multiple phases of the project lifecycle including writing and updating requirements, preparing for and conducting application testing, and performing technical writing reviews on other project deliverables. Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate is a must. Must be able to work in a team environment and independently with minimum management oversight. Must possess high energy and strong motivation to make a difference. The work is fast paced with changing priorities. Task switching without loss of productivity is a must.
Pre-Requisites:

• Current DoD Secret clearance
• Requirements analysis experience – 1+ years is preferred
• Application testing experience – 1+ years is preferred

3 Month Contract:
Highlights of Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to staff and customers by testing software and hardware products, maintains software documentation, responds and follows-up on internal and external customer support problems
• Provide support to end users for either PC, server, or mainframe applications and hardware
• Work closely with the customer on a daily basis to solve challenging issues that include issues with hardware, software, networking, and user accounts
• Install, test and troubleshoot network printers, communication equipment, and file servers
• Image and configure computers to customer standards
• Accept, track, and close help desk tickets that are not able to be resolved at the Tier 1 level ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner
• Pull all types of inside riser cable, including coaxial and dual coaxial, thin and thick wire Ethernet, and transceiver cable to accommodate computer systems and local area networks
• Replaces components to restore service and returns faulty parts
• Oversees vendor installations and repairs to ensure customer satisfaction and connectivity
• Provide phone and remote desktop support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, standard MS Windows desktop applications, and network connectivity
• Support asset and inventory management for a diverse set of government furnished equipment
• Identify problem areas and recommend solutions
• Work closely with the government client to ensure all requests are handled promptly and courteously and resolved or escalated to the appropriate support provider within established time frames

Required Criteria:
o A minimum of five (5) years experience administering Linux systems. Experience listed for sub-criteria below may be concurrently or consecutively gained.
o A minimum of two years experience installing Linux servers using PXE (pre-boot execution environment) (e.g. Cobbler/Kickstart).
o A minimum of two years experience creating spec files to producing RPMs (i.e. RedHat Package Manager) for installation custom software.
o A minimum of 2 years experience establishing Local Area Networks (LAN), to include creation and configuration of common services (e.g. DNS (Domain Name System), NTP (network time protocol), NFS (network files system), NAT (network address translation), Squid (caching proxy), yum (software package manager), and LDAP (lightweight directory access protocol)).

o A minimum of one year experience configuring network switches and switch operating systems (to include Cisco IOS (internetwork operating system) and/or IOS-like systems) to include experience designing and implementing VLANs (virtual local area networks) on various switches for virtual network topologies.
o A minimum of one year experience optimizing scalability and performance of various modern file systems as applied to RAID systems and reliability performance tradeoffs.
o A minimum of one year experience performing the physical layer of system integration (to include installation of fiber optic and copper cabling).
o Ability to lift 45 (forty-five) pounds
o A minimum of two years experience in technologies for Large System Administration (to include knowledge of network management systems for managing very large, geographically distributed systems of systems from a central location)
o A minimum of two years experience deploying FOSS (free open source software) (e.g. source tarballs, RPMs, JAR (java archive) files, and Perl (practical extraction and report language) libraries).
o Certification as RedHat Technician (RHCT) and a minimum of two years experience with RHEL 5 & 6.
Desired Criteria in order of importance:
o Demonstrated experience configuring and deploying Xymon and/or Nagios monitoring tools
o Demonstrated experience hardening and securing Linux hosts and services
o Demonstrated familiarity with Unix and/or Linux shell scripting languages (e.g. Bash, .sh, C-shell)
o Demonstrated familiarity with reconfiguring and recompiling a Linux kernel
o Demonstrated familiarity with developing test and diagnostic software to instantiate systems that autonomously collect and report status
o Demonstrated familiarity with remote diagnosis and remediation of failed computer and network components.
o Demonstrated familiarity with installation and use of optical fiber for communications.
6 Month Contract:
Candidate needs to be specialized in JAVA with experience in the development, maintenance, and testing of software programs.
Responsibilities include Coding, testing, and debugging application programs from functional specifications.
The individual will work from program specifications or prototypes and work under the direction of a team leader, senior technical person or analyst. Candidate should bring a minimum of 5+ years of experience from several enterprise application initiatives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of five years of software development experience in large scale distributed environment.
- Candidate must have detailed understanding of all aspects of SDLC and Object Oriented (OO) technologies, design practices, and implementation approaches. A proven track record is a must. – Able to think strategically and be innovative.
- J2EE and JSF experience are required for this position with the IBU Sales Group – Provide easy to understand performance metrics to management. – Proven development experience in a large scale J2EE-based system

Role Overview
• The .Net Software Engineer is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and configuration of .NET based applications for both Intranet and Internet environments.
• All systems are build upon .NET 4.0, SQL Server 2008 and utilize a variety of technologies including MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework, and JQuery.
Experience
• At least 5+ years experience as a software engineer utilizing Microsoft .NET technologies preferably in .NET 3.5 and 4.0 frameworks.
• Looking for someone experienced in web-based solutions, particulary in use of MVC, JQuery, AJAX, CSS, and Razor. Skills in page layout and design and contruction of themeable controls would also be helpful.
• Although web-based experience is required, strong fundamentals in basic OO design principles is also important. Candidates should be able to demonstrate core principles of code reuse and extensibility, as well as some comfortability with various design patterns and their usage.
Core Skills
• Object Oriented programming experience in .Net a must.
